Flights 71 & 72 | Jason
I got up early and made it out to the field before 8:00 this morning. Jeremy was already waiting on me. There wasn’t a whole lot of wind, and the wind was fairly shifty. I got out the Muse 25 that I still have on loan from Ola and got set up. I got up on my first try, but Jeremy had some difficulty. It happens. I haven’t blown a launch on that Muse yet!
I flew out to the R/C air field to look for a lost plane that had been reported to us. I looked around for about 30 minutes - no luck. I headed back to the field to check on Jeremy. He was still on the ground! He later figured out that his trimmers were out.
I finally got up and joined me.

I flew with the 70-300mm telephoto lens that I borrowed from my very nice neighbor who is a professional photographer. I warned her that I’d be taking it up and she let me borrow it anyway… how cool is that!?
Here are a couple more shots of Jeremy:

At some point, I saw this plane…. he was a little close for comfort!!! (But I have to admit that 300mm zoom makes him look a lot closer than he was!)
I got this shot of Jeremy, too:

I flew for about an hour and 15 minutes, then I decided to land because I thought I was almost out of gas. Jeremy stayed up for a few more minutes so I took this picture from the ground:

I looked at my gas situation and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I had thought it was. We talked for a while on the ground, but the air never looked like it was getting bad. Jeremy said he wanted to get a shot of me by the water tower. So we decided to fly again. I blew a couple launches this time because I wasn’t setting up right. I just got lazy. When I finally moved my wing and set it up right I got right up.
This last flight was awesome. We flew over to a field and just started going nuts, carving like crazy. At least 3 cars stopped and parked in the middle of the road to watch us. It was an impromptu air show. Some of our moves looked like we had rehearsed them. It looked like we were dogfighting. It was a blast!
