Flight 28-29 | Brian

October 14th, 2007

I got in 2 flights today. The first was cut short by the cold air and my lack of sensation in my fingers. After about 30 minutes I came in and warmed up for a bit. I shot a bit of video on this flight, its not overly exciting but it is short and shows were we fly in Davis. Notice the low fog covering the entire area and in the second, Tom on his new orange Brontis.

I managed to borrow some gloves for my second flight. By the time I got back up in the air everyone else was on the ground and its was bumpy. Not unsafe bumpy but unfun bumpy so after a few minutes I join them. Tom, our resident engineer and all around good guy, is off to Flordia for a few months. Being retired, he can escape the mild winters of California in exchange for the tropical sunshine of Flordia. We’ll miss you Tom!I am proud to say, in absolute zero conditions i had 2 perfect forward launches and the landings weren’t bad either. The first one, with all the locals watching, I slipped a bit and ended up on a knee but the second was picture perfect.
