Air box is a baffle that goes before the carb, it can quiet the noise of a motor. Makes more of a difference on smaller motors the larger ones like the MZ34. Most of the larger motors require more air then an air box can provide so they aren't used. Fresh breeze uses one to meet German sound standards but at a substantial loss of power. _________________
